Delmon Edward Jarrell, age 76, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Montgomery County on Jan. 2, 1941 to the late George Edward and Lillian (Icy) Phillips Jarrell.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Sifford and Bonnie Bennett. He was a machinist for over 50 years, most recently with Cupp Tool and Die and Mountain Precision. Delmon’s second career was golf.
He is survived by his wife, Susie Jarrell; daughter, Daphne; two granddaughters, Nichole and Brooklyn; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Peyton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Conelia and Bobby Sifford, Janice and Emerson Rudacille; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Nancy Jarrell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeannie and George Clark; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tony and Wanda St. Clair, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Thomas officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A Roanoke, VA 24018.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
