Registration is open for New River Community College’s professional truck driving course. During the hands-on training, participants will learn truck driving skills and take the Virginia DMV’s Class A Commercial Driver’s Test to obtain a CDL credential.

Two sessions will begin this month. One session is held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and will run from March 13 through April 21 (#3582).

Another session, held on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., will run from March 18 through July 16 (#5478).

Financial assistance is available to those who qualify through Virginia’s New Economy Workforce Credential Grant (WCG) program. More information about the WCG is available at www.nr.edu/workforce.
