Gerald Stanley “Jerry” Williams, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his home in Radford. He was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and a retired police officer with 30 years of service with Radford City Police.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Audrey Williams; brother, Jack Williams; and father-in-law, Marshall Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Lenora R. Williams; sons, Jason Matthew (Miranda) Williams, David Lee (Corinne) Shelor, Jr. and Larry Douglas Williams; daughters, Libby (Matthew) Williams-Price, Anne Turpin and Ashley (Dustin) Scaggs; brother, Donald (Jeri) Williams; sister, Jewell (Chuck) Cuba; grandchildren, Marshall Jesse Shelor, Hannah Louise Williams, Carter Lee Shelor, Jacob Matthew Williams, Kantyn Layne Shirah, Natalie Turpin and Jessica Williams; sister-in-law, Karen E. Richardson; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Wanda) Richardson and Marshall (Janie) Richardson, Jr.; special friends, the Frost family; and his sidekick, Scamp.
Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 27 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Joe Mack Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital For Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S. C. 29605.
The Williams family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
