Girl meets boy. Girl falls in love with boy. Girl loses boy when a mischievous fairy sprinkles love “juice” on boy’s eyelids, making him fall for another girl. Girl wins boy back, with the help of a little fairy magic.

This is not the latest romantic comedy to hit theaters near you; it is the play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” which was dreamed up by William Shakespeare and will be performed by students of the Christiansburg High School Drama Department this weekend.
This play features young lovers who fall comically in and out of love in a ridiculously brief period of time. Performances will be held in the CHS Auditorium and is open to the public for enjoyment of a classic Shakespeare comedy that helped shape the modern-day romantic comedy genre: 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6; 7 p.m. Friday, April 7; 7 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
Later in April, the CHS Drama Department will weave more enchantment with a Royal Tea event on Saturday, April 22. The Royal Tea will feature a brunch with princesses from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at CHS.
Participants will receive the royal treatment and spend a magical morning with their favorite storybook princesses. Each little princess and prince in the land is invited to enjoy fun games, regal activities, royal crafts, and yummy food.
They will also enjoy story time, pictures with their favorite princesses, songs, music, dance, and more.
