Glenda Carolyn Assad Kimbleton, 72, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at her home in Parrott. She was a member of Parrott Church of God and worked for many years at St. Albans Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell Assad and Lucille Albert; husband, Howard Kimbleton; and son, Donald Yopp.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Sheila Kimbleton and Beldon Gravley and Sabrina Kimbleton, all of Parrott; daughter-in-law, Krista Yopp of Calloway; grandsons, Michael, Daniel, Ray and Joshua; special great-nephew, Chico Page; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Genevieve Albert, of Dublin, and Dallas and Lois Assad, of Parrott; sisters and brother-in-law, Jeannie Hopkins, of Parrott, Adene and Melvin Thompson, of Skyler, Shirley Harless, of Parrott, Peggy and Tommy Roberts, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Robin Assad of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Parrott Church of God. Services began at 4 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Alley officiating. A graveside service was held at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
The Kimbleton family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
