Malinda Morgan was approved as the new principal at Christiansburg Elementary School, effective July 1, at Tuesday’s school board meeting. She has served as the assistant principal at Tomahawk Elementary School in Campbell County since 2014.
“I hope to support and encourage our teachers as we work together to ensure all student are prepared well to enter and ever-changing society,” said Morgan.
“Ms. Morgan is the right fit for Christiansburg Elementary as they continue to build on their positive educational environment,” said Superintendent Mark Miear.
Morgan received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in education from the University of Montevallo. She has 14 years of teaching experience and nine years of administrative experience, as the Director of Special Programs and an assistant principal.
