The Christiansburg Lions Club will hold its 10th annual golf tournament Friday, Aug. 11, at the Auburn Hills Golf Club in Riner.
Organizers would like to invite both players and sponsors to be involved in this worthy cause for benevolent giving to various agencies and programs.
Last year the Christiansburg Lions Club awarded more than $12,000 for purchase of glasses for those in need in Montgomery County. The Club also assisted in eye checks throughout the Montgomery County School System with the “SPOT Machine” with money earned in the fundraising efforts of this tournament and their annual Holiday Craft Show on the first Saturday in December.
This Golf Tournament will be up of four-player teams in a captain’s choice format with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Entry fees are $65 per golfer or $260 per team. This fee will cover cart, green fees and lunch prior to the tournament.
In addition, there will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing as well as dollar prizes–there will be two flights with a first place prize of $300, second place prize of $200 and a third place prize of $100 in each flight.
Sponsors will be recognized by signage on the sponsored holes as well as a listing of Sponsors at the Club House during the tournament and in each “goody bag” to show our appreciation for your support. The levels of Sponsorship are: tournament sponsor $500, Putting Green Sponsor $150, hole sponsor $100, and friend of the Lions $50.
Interested sponsors or participants can contact Jeff Richardson at cburglionsclub@gmail.com or by phone at 250-2379. You may also pick up applications at Auburn Hills God Club as soon as possible.
