The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars for Divisions I, II and III were announced Wednesday with Radford’s Olivia Jay, Meagan Board, Morgan Cox and Kasidy Beckel making the list.
It’s the second time these four golfers were honored as the same group was named WGCA All-American Scholars last season.
A total of 952 women’s collegiate golfers were recognized with the prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. To be considered, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and must compete in 50 percent of the team’s competition.
Radford was one of five Big South institutions represented and was tied for second-most with four on a team. UNC Asheville placed five on the All-American Scholars list; Gardner-Webb also had four, while Winthrop and Campbell totaled three.
