NRV Academy of Dance, the area’s only non-profit dance studio, will be hosting its grand opening and ribbon cutting on July 22 from 10am to 3pm. The event will feature live demonstrations, kids’ activities and refreshments. A discount will also be offered towards the 2017-18 dance season registration fee.
Conveniently located on Main Street, NRV Academy of Dance will offer classes to those ages three to adult in a variety of disciplines including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, acrobatic movement, musical theater and pointe. An end of year recital showcasing our dancers’ talents will be performed in May.
With a mission of providing affordable education in the field of dance to help local residents develop skills, athletic ability, leadership, character, discipline, creativity and confidence, the studio hopes to become an anchor of the artistic community.
“Our hope is to bring the art of dance to the forefront of the community and make it accessible to all who are interested, regardless of their background,” said Sarah Orren, the Executive Committee President.
