Blacksburg Country Club played host to the Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour on Monday, July 17 as 64 junior players took to the course.
16-18 Age Group, Par 72, 6364 Yards
Noah Clark of Pearisburg shot an even par 72 and won the age group. Clark made 5 birdies on the day continuing his good play during the summer. He recently won the VSGA Junior Amateur Stroke Play Tournament qualifier at the Wytheville Golf Club. Devan Reeves of Galax and Carter Vance of Riner tied for second with scores of 74.
14-15 Age Group, Par 72, 5903 Yards
Daniel Goode of Wytheville won the age group with a score of 6 over par 78. Jason Hall of Dublin was a shot back in second place. Bryce Sparks of Tazewell was third with a score of 81.
12-13 Age Group, Par 72, 5064 Yards
Tanner Walls of Matheny, West Virginia continued his winning ways by beating the field with a score of 85. It was the fifth consecutive victory for Walls. Jack Davis of Radford was second with a score of 90. Joe Tyson of Bluefield was third with a score of 101.
10-12 Age Group, Par 36, 2474 Yards
Jake Albert of Riner won the age group with a score of 39. Graham Minarik of Radford and Benson Blevins of Wytheville tied for second with scores of 43.
9 and Under Age Group, Par 36, 1562 Yards
David Goode of Wytheville won the age group with a score of 39. Grant McCall of Richlands was second with a score of 41. William Ballard of Pearisburg was third with a score of 46.
The Tour returns to action for the season ending tour championship at Wytheville Golf Club July 24-25.
