The National Football League’s Houston Texans are coming to Greenbrier County this week to begin Houston Texans Training Camp presented by XFINITY at The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center.
“We’re extremely excited to have the Texans coming to The Greenbrier for Training Camp,” said Dr. Jill Justice, President, The Greenbrier. “Having them here is a huge boost not only for The Greenbrier, but also to the surrounding communities and the entire state. We hope the Texans will see our appreciation with a big crowd there to greet them when they arrive.”
Fans interested in attending can park at The Greenbrier Train Station across from The Greenbrier’s main entrance, and shuttles will transport fans from the parking lot to the Front Entrance beginning at 4:45 p.m. Representatives of The Greenbrier will be there to show fans where to line up both inside and outside to get the best view of the Texans’ coaches, players and front office staff.
Practices at The Greenbrier’s state-of-the-art facility adjacent to the main property on Kate’s Mountain Road will begin July 26 and run through Aug. 17. The Texans will hold 15 training sessions during that time that will be open to the public. Those sessions include joint practices with the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16. All practices will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Practices at The Greenbrier will be free to the public. Parking will be at The Greenbrier Train Station, across the street from the main entrance of the resort. Buses will be available to transport fans from the parking lot to the Sports Performance Center. The cost of the transportation is $5 for adults and $2 for children. Transportation tickets can be purchased in advance at Greenbrier.com/Texans. No walk-ups will be allowed.
