Eric Wayne Volner, age 19, of Riner, left his earthly body on Friday, July 28, 2017 here and joined his Heavenly Father gaining a new healthy body. Eric never met a stranger and with his magnetic personality he has changed and touched more lives than we can possibly know.
Now in heaven Eric is walking and talking with his family who have preceded him in death. This includes Evelyn LaRue Cook (grandmother), Jackie Morphey (grandmother), John and Mildred Pionke (Great-grandparents), and Mary Sue Volner (Great-grandmother).
Left to treasure his memory are his dad and mom John and Joy Volner, his best friend and sister Dani (Adam), his big brother Chris, and his very special niece Rayne. Also to treasure his memory are grandparents Charlotte Yearwood, HB Volner (Jeannie), Joe and Shirley LaRue, aunts and uncles, BJ and Maryann LaRue, Jane LaRue, Sue and Robin Ferg, and Sandi Volner (William).
We the family wish to thank the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for all the caring and support that was shown to Eric during his hospitalization. We would also like to thank each and everyone who sent thoughts and prayers, made calls and sent messages to us during this time. We love each of you.
The family received friends and family Monday from 6 to 8pm at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Virginia. A celebration of life will be planned for the near future.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Autism on the Seas organization.
