Paul O. Saunders, age 70, of Fairborn Ohio, was born in Radford, Virginia on November 18, 1946 and passed away on Aug. 13.
Preceded in death by his father, Grant Saunders, mother, Essie Mae Saunders, brothers, Allen, Clifton, Cecil, Grant and sisters, Shirley Winrow, Jeanette Rainge, and Emma Ruth Saunders. He is survived by his wife Marilyn and sons Paul (Dee) and Brian (Tracy), brothers, Leonard (Kat) and Lee (Molly), grandchildren, Paul III, David, Emily, Kassandra Saunders, Anthony, and Taylor Stanfield, Alec, Briana and Ian Keller. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. He also retired as a contractor at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base after 24 years of service. He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior at an early age, and was baptized at the First Baptist Church Radford, VA where he became a lifelong member.
Funeral services will be held today at noon at First Baptist Church, 555 W. Rock Road, Radford. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
