William Paris “Poochie” “Bill” Cline, 76, of Dublin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday.
He was a longtime member of Dublin United Methodist Church and Service Manager at Harvey’s Chevrolet for over 40 years. Born in Rural Retreat, he was one of 14 children, to the late Garland and Nelia Cline. Also preceded in death by brothers, Mckinley, Walter, Steve, Ancil, James, Donald and Richard Cline; and sister, Virginia Sutphin. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Linda Stuart Cline. Children include Kim and Chris Graham of Radford and Whitney Cline-Mebane and Mark Mebane of Keller, Texas. He leaves his only grandchild and pride and joy, Lindsay Graham of Radford. Siblings and spouses include Ethel and Tex Willard of Darlington, S.C., Helen Tickle of Max Meadows, Olivia Caudle of Wytheville, Martin and Georgia Cline of Wytheville, and Randy Cline of Rural Retreat. Extended family includes numerous beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Monday at Dublin United Methodist Church, 424 East Main St. Dublin. Funeral services began at 4 p.m. with Rev. Richard Patterson and Rev. Jo Ellen Hetherington officiating. A graveside service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Rosewood Memorial Park in Rural Retreat.
