DeShea Lee Hubbard, 35, of Blacksburg heard the whisper of God to come on home Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017. He saw her pain and tiredness and said no more daughter.
DeShea was born Sept. 21, 1981 to Vanessa P. Eaves and the late, Freddie Lee Hubbard. She is preceded in death by her father, Freddie Lee Hubbard; godmother, Sissy Hopkins; and grandmothers, Sissy Hopkins and Virginia Hubbard.
She leaves to mourn her, daughter, Anya Crockett (Tyrone); son, Jordan Moore (Jackie); mother, Vanessa P. Eaves; papa, Ricky Sheppard; godmother, Tina Grimshaw; her fiancé, Allen Brandon Wray; goddaughter, Aaliyah Perez; sisters, Khristi E. Turner, Shana C. Eaves, Alysia R. Eaves (John), Erica Banks (Danny), Tammy James (Roland), and Tomica Hubbard; brothers, Philip Mickens, Ben Rowland, Steven Perez, Joel King, Eric Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Tyrone Broom, and Tyheed Broom; god sister, Tara Briggs; god brothers, Ricky Hopkins, Tony Grimshaw, and David Bedwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
