James Richard Cox, Sr., 69, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at his home in Fairlawn. Born on Dec. 31, 1947, he was retired from Caterpillar Equipment and a member of Belspring Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Arizona Cox; and his wife, Myrna Likens Cox.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Ferguson of Fairlawn; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Kaye Cox of Pulaski; stepsons and their wives, Logan and Amie Manis of Lexington, Bruce and Teresa Manis of Pulaski, and John Manis of Chilhowie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Harry B. (H.B.) Cox, Jr. of Pulaski; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at the Belspring Presbyterian Church with Kathy Hall CLP officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
The Cox family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
