Clifton Roger “Ronnie” Dalton, 72, of Radford, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017.
Ronnie owned and operated his own business, Dalton Electrical and Plumbing, for over 30 years. He was a talented and remarkable man who never met a stranger. He loved trains and his home reflected this love. Anyone who knew Ronnie had a story to tell about his wit, and unique and clever ability to make you laugh and how he touched their lives. He will be dearly missed by all.
Born Feb. 27, 1945, he was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Alma Dalton; maternal grandparents, Ferd and Ida Phillips Shelburne; and special uncle and aunt, John and Ruth Shelburne Lancaster. Special friends and family include longtime friend Fay Nicewander of Fairlawn; Thomas Holsinger of Radford, Cliff Phillips of Linside, WVa., Charles Long of Radford, Sue Ervine of Radford, Winston Thornton of Radford, Preston Gordon of Christiansburg, Adell Adkins of Fairlawn, Bonnie King of Hiwassee, Allen Hoover of Radford, Duke and Martha Long of Radford, Ina Mae Shelton of Hiwassee, Harrison “Weasel” Long, and many more friends and relatives.
Friends gathered on Oct. 5, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment followed in the Haley Family Cemetery on Shelburne Road in Pulaski County. The Dalton family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia.
