Our precious Mom, Anna Juanita Bonds Simpson, age 89, of Prices Fork, died Oct. 4, 2017.
She was born on December 31, 1927 to the late Robert L. Bonds and Bessie Bonds Nolley and stepfather, Henry B. Nolley. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Murril Simpson and her brothers and sisters, Robert Bonds, Walter Bonds, Garland Bonds, Margaret Van Buren and Louise Agee. She is survived by her children, Sharon and Gaines Walls, Bruce Simpson, Donna and Doug Epperly, Nancy and Glen Goad, Cindy and Sam Jones.
She was called “Granny” by her grandchildren and each one had a special place in her heart and they have so many memories to treasure.
Her grandchildren are Shannon and Jamie Kerney, Amy and Chris Phelps, Kelly and Sean Cutchin and Seth Jones. Her great grandchildren are Will and Nate Johnson, Aubrey Cutchin and her chosen grandson, Todd Alls. Also surviving are two sisters-in-laws, Janet Bonds, Mildred and Sidney Maupin and many loving nieces and nephews and her many life long friends.
A Memorial Service will be at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church today, Saturday, October 7, at 11 a.m. There will be a reception following the service to visit with family and friends in the fellowship hall. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
In Lieu of flowers, you may make memorial contributions to St. Michael’s Building Fund at 2308 Merrimac Rd., Blacksbug, Va. 24060 or to any charity of your choosing in her honor.
