Mary Eliza Lewis Charlton, 82, of Dublin, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017. Born Feb. 26, 1935, she was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Regina Lewis.
Survivors include her daughters, Gerri Manns of New York, N.Y. and Traci Manns of Va. Beach.; sons and daughters-in-law, James Garfield Manns III (Juanita of Pulaski, and Chester Manns (Judy) and Peter Dominic Manns, all of New River; 7 grandchildren, Nicholle Manns, Stacy Nelson, Cornell Walker, Chester Calfee, Kimberly Manns, Martin Manns and Ray Calfee; 3 great grandchildren, Raeanne Anderson, Jordan Manns and Aaralyn Manns; brothers, Walter S. Lewis and Anthony Lewis, both of Norfolk, and Richard Lewis (Terri) of New River; sisters, Laverne Brown of New York, N.Y. and Caroline Manns (Charles) of New River; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Eliza’s life will be held today Oct. 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church with Revered Jeanne Lewis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Childhood Epilepsy, 800 Orville Dr., Suite 100, Bohemia, N.Y., 11716 or to New Hope United Methodist Church, New River, Virginia.
The Charlton family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
