The mission of the Christmas Store is to provide qualified families a shopping experience characterized by dignity and choice.
Donations of new winter clothing, especially in plus sizes, and toys are always welcome. Gently used winter clothing especially in plus sizes, used books and used toys can be brought in on these dates. Food donations of non-perishable foods are always needed. Tax-deductible forms are available for donations.
Volunteers shop to fill departments with new clothing from newborn to senior adults sizes. New toys and household goods will fill the shelves so shoppers can choose items for their families. In addition, there are departments that have gently used books and toys for shoppers. At the end, the Food Department gives each family food for their holiday meal.
The annual Montgomery County Christmas Store Open House will be held Sunday, December 3 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. The community is invited for refreshments and tours of the store as we get ready to welcome our eligible shoppers.
