American Legion Post 182, Blacksburg, hosts the band Country Sunday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Warm Hearth Community Center (2387 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg.) in celebration of the service veterans give to this country in war and in peace.
“We’re doing something different this time: music!” Garland Linkous, chaplain, Vietnam vet, and member of the post said.
“It’s casual dress. We’re doing not speeches this year, just coming out to clap hands and sing patriotic tunes, talk and spend time together.” Light refreshments will be served.
American Legion Post 182 always welcomes new members. They meet at Warm Hearth on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
