Big South defensive player of week
Radford University Senior Kaylor Nash was recognized by the conference for her defensive performance last weekend as she was announced on Monday as Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
The Suffolk native led the league in digs per set this week with 6.71 (47 over seven sets). She began the weekend tallying 19 digs in a three set match against Presbyterian, which was the most by her in a three set match this season.
She followed that performance up with an additional 28 digs in the “Dig Pink” match against Gardner-Webb. That amount was one dig shy of a season-high as she totaled 29 against Campbell on September 29. The senior only needed 13 digs to reach a career milestone of 1,000 digs.
