Gerzain “Chino” Roman, age 41, of Christiansburg, Virginia, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2017 at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born September 7, 1976 in Pololcingo, Mexico he is the son of Nereo and Angeluz Roman. Gerzain worked as a waiter for the El Mariachi Restaurant in Blacksburg, Va and enjoyed singing Ranchera Music. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded by his grandparents, Jose Roman and Juana Toboada.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Beatrice Arrieta-Roman; three children, Jose Francisco Roman, Gustavo Roman and Kaylee Roman all of the home; three brothers, Nereo Roman, Indarli Roman and Manuel Roman; two sisters, Adalinda Roman and Estacy Roman. He is also survived by special friends and co-workers, Jesus Roman, Gerardo Diaz, Carina Diaz and Juan Sandobal.
The funeral mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. today Nov. 4, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Forest City. The body will lie in state for one hour in the Church narthex prior to the service.
A visitation and viewing will also be conducted today from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel in Easley, South Carolina with interment to follow in the cemetery.
