Mrs. Claus, Santa’s most important helper, will visit our local libraries to read to children, make crafts, and promote literacy at 10:30 a.m. Dec 7 at Christiansburg Public Library (123 Sheltman Street, Christiansburg) and at 11 a.m. Sat. Dec 9 at Blacksburg Library (200 Milller Street, Blacksburg).
Portrayed for decades by Blacksburg’s, Marian Kelso, Mrs. Claus will visit Christiansburg Public Library for the first time this year.
Salena Sullivan, Branch Supervisor of Christiansburg Public Library says of Mrs. Claus, ““She’s all in red and adorable. She’ll read a few stories and talk to the kids.”
There will be little treats and the kids will make popscicle-stick trees.
“The event is open to all ages, to any one, and it’s free, of course. We wish everyone a happy holidays,” Supervisor Sullivan said.
