New VT traffic patterns
The Virginia Tech Office of Parking and Transportation has implemented new post-game traffic patterns for Hokies men’s and women’s basketball games.
The changes are implemented to better the flow of traffic exiting the parking areas after games. These changes should allow fans an easier and quicker exit from the parking areas to town and university streets and highways.
All traffic exiting the Coliseum Lot (Lot 1) onto Beamer Way must turn right. Traffic will be allowed to go into the Stadium lot (Lot 2) and turn around to come back up Beamer Way.
All traffic exiting onto Washington Street from the Coliseum Lot will now turn left and go to the roundabout, before circling back eastbound on Washington Street.
There will now be an officer at the Southgate Drive and Beamer Way intersection, working the traffic. An officer at the intersection of Beamer Way and Washington Street will prevent traffic on Washington Street to go south on Beamer Way.
Single ACC tickets available
Single game tickets for Virginia Tech home ACC games continue to move briskly, as more games sell out or near sell outs.
Tickets for the Jan. 22 “ESPN Big Monday” home game against defending national champion North Carolina have now sold out. This now becomes the fourth ACC sell out and the sixth overall. Tickets for the Florida State, Miami and Duke home games have already sold out.
Fewer than 50 tickets remain for the Louisville game on Feb. 24 at the Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum.
Prices for the Virginia and Louisville games are $50. The Pittsburgh, NC State and Clemson games are $30 apiece.
