This play group will meet every Wednesday there is a Storytime planned. Relatives can relax and have a cup of tea while their children play with blocks and other toys.

Join us as we take on a classic novel, first published in 1927. Oil!, written by Sinclair Lewis, takes on the early days of the California oil industry in a book that is still very timely. The 2008 Academy Awards winning movie, There Will Be Blood, is taken from this book. At a time when fighting still rages over natural resources, this should be a lively discussion.

Shade-loving plants & Forest herbs

Author Barbara Pleasant and Jane Cundiff, professor of biology at Radford University, will lead a discussion on shade tolerant and deer resistant species that can be grown near our trees in Floyd County. Bring your questions and add your knowledge to our conversation. Presentation ends with a pot-luck meal and good conversations!
