William Saxon Hudson, 81, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at his home in Fairlawn. Born on Sept. 1, 1939, he was a retired English professor from Radford University and served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gomer and Mary Hudson.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nancy Walker Hudson; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Sara Hudson of Waco, Texas, and Wesley and Allison Hudson of High Point, N.C.; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Scotty, John and Grace.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at the Presbyterian Church of Radford with Rev. Tupper Garden officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at the church.

The Hudson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
