Tonight at approximately midnight, the Class of 2019 invites the Virginia Tech and Town of Blacksburg communities to view the Ring Dance Fireworks Display, which will be fired off on the Virginia Tech Drillfield, in celebration of the Virginia Tech Class Ring Tradition.
Before and during the fireworks display vehicular and pedestrian traffic may be restricted on and around the Drillfield loop, a university announcement said.
“This 10-15 minute display is being done in accordance to the many requirements by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Virginia Tech office of environmental health and safety and both the Virginia Tech and Blacksburg police departments,” the announcement said.
The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Skipper cannon was also fired once with the playing of Silver Taps at the War Memorial Pylons, after the Friday Ring Dance on Friday, March 23 at midnight.
