March Art Exhibit: Jessica Goldsmith

Living between Prices Fork and McCoy, local artist Jessica Goldsmith creates bright, semi-realistic images inspired by the juxtaposition of the imagination and the visual arts around her. She works with both oils and with roving, which is the cleaned, combed fiber of sheep, alpacas, and llamas. Stop by and view her fantastical creations!

March Exhibit: Shining Opus Designs

Eli Tuchler, the artist behind Shining Opus Designs, began wire wrapping in 2011 in his hometown of Blacksburg, VA. His passion for the art of wire jewelry led him to gain a deep appreciation for natural gemstones and minerals. This appreciation fuels his goal of displaying choice gemstones in the most eloquent way possible using silver and gold wire.
Pie for Pi

The decimal value of Pi goes on forever. How many decimal places can you remember? The person who has memorized Pi to the greatest number of decimal places will win a couple of slices of pie from the Floyd Country Store. One ballot per visit. Prize will be awarded at the end of the month. Also, pick up favorite pie recipes provided by the staff.
