Blair Terrell Wade passed away on April 9, 2018. She was the wife of James Franklin (Jim) Wade Sr.
She was born June 23, 1924 to Robert Beecher Terrell and Nellie Mae Blair Whitmore Terrell. She graduated from Kings Daughters Hospital School of Nursing in Portsmouth, Virginia and worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Kurt Fox in Fairfield, Virginia for twenty-nine years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Katherine Terrell Wood and Elizabeth Lucille Terrell Brogan; a nephew Robert Henry Brogan; and a granddaughter Sarah Allen Wallis.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years; son, James Franklin Wade Jr. and wife Betty of Staunton; daughter, Elizabeth Blair Wade and husband Dale Clymer of Riner; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Blair Wade Fillman and husband Matthew of Richmond, and Rebecca Lynn Wallis of Washington, DC; great grandson, Wade Gregory Fillman of Richmond; sister, Ellen Lorene Terrell Wilhite and her husband Phillip of Millboro; and nephew, David Terrell Brogan and wife Lisa of Lexington.
She was a loyal member of New Providence Presbyterian Church in Raphine Virginia. During her retirement, she became the artist she always desired to be and painted many beautiful oil landscapes.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Raphine with Rev. Michael Snyder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the New Providence Presbyterian Church, 1208 New Providence Road, Raphine, VA 24472.
The Wade family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
