A standout football player from Blacksburg is headed to Charlottesville. Junior Tiquest Terry made it official this weekend and committed to play at the University of Virginia. The announcement came during a visit to the Blue and Orange school.
In a statement on Twitter, Terry said UVA felt like the right place to be.
This past season, he caught 36 passes for 592 yards and 11 touchdowns, being named to the Class 4 All-State second team. His best year was when he was a sophomore, helping lead the Bruins to the 3A state title. He had 70 receptions for 1,165 yards, and also rushed for another 494 yards on 76 carries and four touchdowns.
Terry has yet to decide on a major at UVA.
