Spencer Lewis Joslin, 37, of Blacksburg, Virginia died unexpectedly Monday, April 16th. Spencer was born June 10, 1981 in Richmond, Virginia and moved to Blacksburg where he obtained his degree from Virginia Tech.
Spencer has worked for Virginia Tech for many years and began working for the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute in 2011. Spencer loved his job as much as he enjoyed the mountains and wildlife Blacksburg offered.
Spencer is survived by his wife Elizabeth Joslin and son Mason Joslin, both of whom he adored. Spencer is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Luanne Coker, mother, Cindy Martin, his father Doug Joslin and wife Pam Joslin, his brothers Ross Martin and Will Joslin, and step-sister Lauren Carroll.
Spencer leaves behind many beloved family members and close friends all of whom will miss his kind heart, sense of humor, and will mourn the loss of a truly unique and loved individual.
A celebration of Spencer’s life will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. on May 5 at Horne Funeral home in Christiansburg VA.
