The Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour continued its 20th season on Monday at Wytheville Golf Club. Playing through intermittent showers, the junior golfers enjoyed much hospitality from the friendly club.
Numerous volunteers were on hand as the players arrived providing transportation to and from the practice range, assisting in registration and keeping score for the nine hole groups. The tournament was sponsored by the William L. Woodford Foundation.
Dewayne Belcher, Director of Tour Operations, said the Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour greatly appreciates the support of the William L. Woodford Foundation and the generosity of Wytheville Golf Club.
“Both have been very instrumental in the operations of the Tour for a number of years. Their friendship is very meaningful to us,” he said.
