Regarding “Kindness, compassion and WWJD”, Steve Frey, June 23, 2018, it’s clear Mr. Frey either doesn’t know the law or doesn’t believe in the rule of law.
He laments the separation of children from their parents at the Mexican border. Laments “zero tolerance.”
Congress passed the law that states illegals entering the country should be separated from their children. For the first time in years, the law is being adhered to. What a concept!
Mr. Wray goes on to say that these poor souls are “desperate”, “escaping gang violence, poverty, etc”.
Have you ever heard of MS 13 and their violence? What about the murders in the inner cities?
An attorney friend of mine told me that people who commit crimes, bring their children to court, and are remanded to jail are separated from their children. In fact, if the children are in court and no one is there to take them, they become wards of the state. Yes, they are separated.
It’s about time there was factual reporting. It’s not a matter of compassion and morality.
It’s the law, and I for one, want laws enforced.

Editor’s note: Ring is referring to the Flores Settlement, a class-action lawsuit that began in 1985 and was resolved in 1997. Congress did not pass a law.
