Nenzerine Manns Lewis, 88, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at her home in New River. Born on Sept. 13, 1929, she was retired from the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hattie Manns; her husband, Ray Whitfield Lewis, Jr.; brothers, Andrew and James; and sisters, Betty, Elizabeth, Christine and Lillian.
Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carlotta Lewis of Dublin; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and James Anderson, and Jeannette and Joe Sheffey, all of New River; grandchildren, Buffy, James, Jr., Janel, Jody, Richie and Cameron; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Caroline Manns, and John Manns, all of New River; sisters, Flossie Brown of New River and Ava Pope of Greensboro, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at First Missionary Baptist Church in New River. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Montie Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Adult Daycare Center in Dublin.
