Carroll Andrew (Andy) Arnold, (SFC U.S. Army Retired), 50, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, August 11, 2018.
He retired from the US Army in 2009 after 24 years of service. Andy worked for Blacksburg Transit since 2010 as a diesel mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Gina Arnold; daughter Amber Arnold and fiance, Hagan Prater; two sons, Aaron Arnold, Trinity Heckman and wife, Jessica; a grandchild, Zander Heckman; parents, Frank and Joyce Arnold; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Freda and Jerry Buckner; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Renee Buckner; uncle and aunt, Roger and Shelly Hunt; many army friends all over the world: and his faithful canine companions, Jazz and CJ.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Reed, Rev. Jube Burk, and Rev. Connie Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society, 1183 Flanagan Drive, Christiansburg, VA 24073..
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA.
