The Blacksburg Master Chorale will present a Broadway!-themed evening at 7:30p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church (701 Church St.) and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 16 at the Covington Center at Radford University.
“We have over 90 adults and over 30 children performing,” Brenda van Gelder the chorale’s vice-president of marketing said of the 30-year-old ensemble. “This is the first year that we are performing at a Radford venue, with Radford children singing with us.”
“Experience the wonderful world of musical theatre as we sing classics, new and old, and explore some Broadway tunes you may not know as well,” van Gelder wrote in a news release. “It will be a night of adventure, love stories, inspiration, and fun, from musicals including The Music Man, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Into the Woods, and more.”
Blacksburg Master Chorale members are local members of the community, ages 18-90. The Blacksburg Children’s Chorale will join the adults for an evening you won’t want to miss the announcement said.
