After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Toni Shawver Roberts passed on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. Toni, formerly of Monroeville, PA and Forest Hills, PA died quietly in her sleep at her home in Shawsville, VA. Her determined spirit and unwavering faith will always be admired, but never forgotten.
She will be dearly missed by all those she touched. May she enjoy the peace and comfort she found in the Lord, now and forever.
Toni was born in Pearisburg, VA. She was an alumnus of Cave Spring High School and West Virginia University and she receieved her master’s degree from Penn State University. She was a successful business owner and entrepreneur for over twenty years, long before it was in vogue for a single woman to do so.
She was an avid reader, and loved her pets. A member of the Riverside Community Church in Oakmont, PA, her faith was her rock and her family was her strength. Toni is survived by her two sons; Jacob Roberts and Zachary Roberts, Jaime (Dull) Roberts and two grandchildren; Connor Roberts and Riley Roberts. Father Ben Shawver and Ponnie Shawver, sister Kim Wilbourne and brothers Jeff Shawver and Kevin Shawver.
Visitiation will be held from 12 – 2 p.m. today, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church with a service to follow at 2:30 p.m.. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, VA.
