Connie Annette Taylor of Blacksburg, Va. formerly of Illinois, passed into her Heavenly Home Oct. 12 with her husband by her side. After a lengthy, hard fought battle with cancer, she is at peace to suffer no more. Connie’s favorite time of the year has always been autumn, fittingly she was called home in the fall of her life.
Left to cherish Connie’s precious life and memories, are her husband, Geoffrey Grubb, son, Jason Tucker and wife, Lisa, daughter, Amy Tardif and husband, Kristian, seven grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Emily, Allison Tucker and Jacob, Regan and Logan Tardif, also a brother, Mike. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Joy Taylor, a brother, Craig and sister, Donise.
The family would like to thank Connie’s best friend, Brenda Stone, for her assistance, and the extensive list of medical professionals who provided care over the years, Hospice, and Long Shop-McCoy Volunteer Rescue Squad for their unselfish service and for all prayers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Long Shop – McCoy Volunteer Rescue Squad or to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at 2 p.m.
in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
