Elizabeth A. (Betty) Fore of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John R. (Dick) Fore; children: Mark (Judy), Jacksonville, FL; Barbara, Richmond, VA; Gary, Sacramento,CA; Jackie (Mike) Dye, Birmingham, AL; Lisa (Joe) Meek, Dublin, VA; Mary (Steve) Johnson, Christiansburg, VA; sister, Kay Warner, Naples, FL; brother, David Richter, Costa Rica; aunt, Grace McGinley Barton, Spring Green, WI; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Margaret McGinley Richter and sister, Rosemary Van Loenen.
Betty attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and retired as a secretary from the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church.
A funeral mass was held on Oct. 30, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blacksburg, VA. A visitation was held at the church prior to the funeral mass. Reception and graveside followed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty’s name to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
