Hasker Kurbie Duncan, 80, of Floyd died peacefully to go be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at Skyline Manor Nursing Center.
He was born in Floyd, VA on July 13, 1938 to the late Hasker Elvin and Laura Martha Cox Duncan. He is survived by his son, Wendell Kurbie Duncan and girlfriend, Debbie Hill; daughters and sons-in-law; Wanda Duncan Hodge and husband, Gary, Elvia Duncan Reed and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Tabitha Hodge, Christopher Hodge and wife, Rachel, Kayla Johnston and husband, Robbie, Stacy Duncan and fiancee, David Alderman, April Musselman and husband, Robert, Dee Dee Lucas; eleven great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Ellewese and Beamer Akers; brother, Elvin Junior Duncan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wes Conner and Terry Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Family Cemetery, Floyd. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg.
