Tom Hartsock, 74, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Bessie Hartsock; his brothers, Buddy, Robert and Jake; sisters, Anita, Peggy, Merlyn and Shirley. He is survived by his nieces, Sarah, Bonnie, Becky, Robin, Emmy, Juanita, Ann Marie, Brenda, Mary Jo, Dot, and Debra; nephews, Doug, David, John and Ray; and niece, Meredith, who was always on-call as Tommy’s personal nurse; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to close friends, Chris, Jimmy, Gail, John, Wayne, Danny, and Sonny who were always there when Tom needed a helping hand. Thank you to Dr. Stoeckle; Good Samaritan Hospice and Tom’s personal caregivers.
Tom was a beloved member of the downtown Blacksburg Community and his ready smile and quick wit will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends today, Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 from 12-1 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
