Jeanette Elizabeth Johnson, 76, of Radford, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019. Born on June 19, 1942, she retired from Radford University where she was a supervisor of housekeeping. She was a member of the Radford Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Helen Blevins; son, Rodney Martin; brothers, Larry Darnell Blevins and Dennis Michael Blevins; and great nephews, Ronald Blevins Jr. and Anthony “Lil Tony” Webster III.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Tracy Blevins of Dublin, Paul Martin of Radford, and Jeff and Tamalia Martin of Tenn.; daughters, Paulette Martin and Terri Martin, both of Blacksburg ;grandchildren, Marcus Martin and his wife Shanika, Paul Martin III, Eric Martin and his wife Tania, Shanniqual Banks, Anthony Brown, Renaldo Martin, Ishia Martin and Lance Cobbs; a number of great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Ella Blevins of W.Va., Edward and Mary Blevins of Ohio.; sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra and Leonard Smedley of Md. and Sharon Anthony of Ohio.; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at the Radford Church of God in Christ in Radford. Funeral Services will begin at 12 p.m. with Bishop Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford .
