Nancy Tabor Easterling McCoy 82, of Christiansburg died Monday, April 15, 2019. She was born July 16, 1936 to the late Ray and Ocie A. Tabor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pat McCoy, her daughters, Elizabeth Anne Easterling and her “bonus baby”, Ramona McCoy Scott and her best and faithful friend of more than 40 years Peggy Creasy (Roanoke). Nan retired after 26 years with ITT Night Vision where she made many lifelong friends including Clairessa Nicholson, Brenda Huffman, Rita “Bean” Turner, Mary Martin and Diana Kessler. She is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Bonnie Reid (Leslie), her brother, Pat Tabor, grandsons, Eli Easterling, Steven Kelley Kingrea, Brady (Ann) Hypes and Stephen (Wally) Hypes, great-grandchildren, Natalie and Brooklyn Easterling, Preston Tudor (Thank you Joe and Angela), Marin and Lydia Hypes, favorite nephews, Butch (Cathy), Michael (Rebecca) and David Tabor, cousin, Sharon “Poodles” Sargent, a very special best friend, Sandy Light (Bud). Angie, thank you for your help, prayers, care and love (not obligation). Her wonderful sense of humor will be cherished by all who knew her. She was absolutely the best mother in the world, the greatest friend you could hope for and the kindest soul ever. It has been an honor and privilege caring for you.
