Ella Mae Workman Trent, born June 30, 1938, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2019. Ella, born to Romy Roscoe and Addy Maysel Workman, was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Beauford N. Trent, Jr., daughter, Jackie Lynn Cummings, sister, Josephine West and brother, Larry Workman.
Ella is survived by her daughter, Janet (Larry) Ross and son-in-law, John Cummings. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Scott (Jennifer) Cummings, Hope (Jacob) Blevins and Meagan (Brian) Graham; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan Cummings, Allee Blevins, Addy Blevins and London Graham; as well as many loving brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Ella was an avid bowler for over 60 years and adored her bowling family and cherished their friendships. She loved quilting, word puzzles and anything sweet. Ella was very proud to be a girl “from the hills of West Virginia” that was able to travel the world with her husband and her two girls.
A celebration of Ella’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the American Legion in Dublin, Va., followed directly by bowling at the NRV Superbowl in Christiansburg, Va.
Remains will be privately interred with her husband at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Va.
