CHRISTIANSBURG – The Community Health Center of the New River Valley (CHCNRV) is pleased to announce the addition of Pete Guerra, M.D., to the Montgomery Center located at 215 Roanoke Street in Christiansburg.
Guerra joins CHCNRV as a full-time medical physician providing primary care to patients of all ages. He joins an integrated care team comprised of medical, behavioral health and dental providers who work together to provide comprehensive and holistic care.
“As the Center’s Physician Champion for mental health and substance use disorder services, Dr. Guerra, is committed to ensuring that patients in need of mental health and/or substance use disorder services receive timely and effective treatment,” according to information released by the health center.
Guerra received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed a family medicine residency at Duke University Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, Cape Fear Valley Hospital in North Carolina where he received numerous academic and teaching awards. He is active in youth coaching/mentoring and is multi-lingual.
