Russell Ray Quesenberry, 90, of Radford, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry and a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Born July 13, 1929, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Josia Alma Quesenberry; and his wife, Hazel Quesenberry.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, William Larry and Samantha Quesenberry of Dublin; grandson and his wife, Charlie and India Quesenberry of Hiwassee; stepdaughter, Patsy Carol Stapleton of Fayetteville, N. C.; stepson and his wife, Jackie and Rita Triplett of Hidden Knight, N. C.; adopted daughter, Sandra Young of Christiansburg; sister, June Cox of St. Leonard, Md.; and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends from 2 until 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services began at 4 p.m. with Rev. Justin Quesenberry officiating. Graveside services with full military honors were held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
The Quesenberry family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
