Kim Link who has who has finished up chemo and radiation and is now in remission was their honorary first serve at this week’s Auburn High School “Pink Night”, which honors those that are fighting breast cancer. Schools, tournaments, and clubs unite their communities by hosting events that create impactful experiences and build positive team culture, all while fundraising for Side-Out’s stage IV breast cancer research.Auburn Head Coach Sherry Millions dedicated her game to Kathy Wright who was the middle volleyball coach at Blacksburg for many years. Teammate Rachel Harding had 10 kills, 10 digs and three aces, while Allyson Martin finished with eight kills, three blocks and two aces.Auburn’s Emma Sutphin returns the ball across the net in Tuesday’s action. With the win, Auburn is now 18-2 overall and 5-0 in Mt. Empire District play.
