James Warren “Jimmy” Cook, 75, of Pulaski, formally of Draper, passed away on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lizzie Cook; brother, Jack of Draper; and also a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Benny Frazier of Wytheville.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Janie Midkiff Cook; son, Eddie Cook; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Jeff Porterfield, and Lori Jeanne and Tony Gallimore; grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah Kate and Clinton Martin, and Matthew and Brittany Gallimore; great grandchild, Zakkary Gallimore; beloved brothers-in-law, Wendell Johnston and Tommy Midkiff, both of Staffordsville; sister, Linda Monday of Wytheville; brother, Billy Cook of Wytheville; lifelong friend, Kermit Sayers; and many other relatives and friends.
There will be a reception and Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 followed by a song service at Pulaski Presbyterian Church, 975 Memorial Drive, Pulaski, VA.
In lieu of flowers, any expressions of sympathy may be given as a love offering to Fairview Home, 5140 Hatcher Road, Dublin, VA 24084.
The Cook family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, Virginia.
