From Thanksgiving until Christmas, 17 members of the Montgomery Co.-Blacksburg Kiwanis Club rang the bell for the Salvation Army at the Christiansburg Walmart from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Club President Sherry Charles is pictured taking her turn with a bell. Their efforts raised $7,686.95. Over the past four years, donations during the club’s bell-ringing for the Salvation Army have totaled $32,625.72. The club also donates some money each year from its club service account.
